Boiler Cover Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility for Cover

  • Cover is available for domestic properties only, located within our service area.
  • Your boiler must have been installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
  • The boiler must be under 12 years old and in good working order at the start of the policy.
  • Pre-existing faults or issues present before cover begins are not included.

2. What’s Included

  • Cover levels vary by plan. Please refer to our Boiler Cover Comparison Table for full details of what’s included under each plan.
  • Typical inclusions may include:
  • - Annual boiler service
  • - Breakdown cover (including parts & labour)
  • - Central heating system support (Recommended & Premium only)
  • - Hot water cylinder cover (Premium only)
  • - Plumbing system cover (Premium only)
  • - Emergency call-out support

3. What’s Not Included

  • Common exclusions (some vary by plan):
  • - Damage due to sludge, scale, or corrosion
  • - Non-domestic use
  • - Cosmetic damage or issues that do not affect performance
  • - Faults caused by DIY, negligence, or third-party work
  • - External drainage systems
  • - Gas supply pipework

4. Claims & Call-Outs

  • Call-outs are subject to fair usage (Standard cover includes a maximum of 1 per year).
  • All works must be carried out by Abingdon Plumbing and Heating or an authorised representative.
  • Premium plan customers benefit from unlimited call-outs with no excess.
  • We aim to respond to emergency call-outs within 24 hours.

5. Service Appointments

  • Annual boiler services will be scheduled during normal working hours (Mon–Fri).
  • It is your responsibility to ensure access to the property at the agreed time.

6. Payments & Cancellations

  • Payments are collected monthly via direct debit or annually in advance.
  • You may cancel your plan at any time with 30 days' written notice.
  • We reserve the right to cancel your cover if payment is not received or if your boiler is deemed unsafe or beyond economical repair.

7. Policy Start Date & Renewal

  • Your policy begins once payment is received and we have confirmed acceptance, subject to a site visit and a paid boiler service from Abingdon plumbing and heating..
  • Plans automatically renew unless cancelled by you in writing.
  • You will be notified of any price or coverage changes prior to renewal.

8. Data Protection

  • Your personal data will be handled securely in line with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

9. Liability

  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income, caused by delays or service interruptions beyond our control.
